    Mattresses and box springs in any condition, no matter when bought, can be dropped off free at participating Bye Bye Mattress collection sites or events. The program began January 1, 2025 and is paid for by a $22.50 fee on each new mattress.

    Not covered: futon mattresses and frames, fold-out sofa beds, air mattresses, car beds, roll-away beds and crib mattresses. Check the locator and contact the site before you go.
